Welcome to the 2012 season! As of this writing, there has been almost no snow this winter, along with unseasonable warmth. As disappointing as that is for the skiers and ice fishermen among us, let's hope the mild winter leads to an early spring and an incredible bite on the Snip this year.

2011 was a great year for Shenipsit enthusiasts, with continued high numbers of fishermen, boaters, and hikers enjoying the serenity and natural beauty our lake provides. The adult and kids fishing derbies were great successes, as they have been in past years. Please see the derby schedule on the next page and mark your calendars, especially for the kids. Participating in a Shenipsit fishing derby is a memory your children will cherish for years to come.
